Advocating for Women in the Security Industry

One of the core missions of SIA is contributing to the career development of professionals in the security industry through education, events and networking. Since its inception, SIA’s Women in Security Forum has been supporting and advancing the role of women in the industry.

The group offers programs, professional development opportunities and networking events. Key efforts and activities include the SIA Progress Award, which celebrates individuals who advance opportunities and pave the way to success for women in the security industry; SECURE Perspectives, a column profiling successful women in the industry; and exciting networking events at ISC East and ISC West. The group is open to SIA members, regardless of gender, interested in supporting the involvement of women in the security industry. Learn more about the Women in Security Forum and how you can join.

On Sept. 11 at 4 p.m., the Women in Security Forum will host a happy hour in Chicago at GSX. We hope to see you there.
